Today, U.S. Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker announced that Handy Co-Founder and CEO Oisin Hanrahan has been selected to serve on the inaugural Digital Economy Board of Advisors.
The mandate is tall: help set the agenda for the digital age and provide recommendations on ways to help the digital economy grow and thrive.
These are big questions – and the Board brings together an impressive group to tackle them. The 17 appointees come from the public, private and academic sectors and hail from companies like GE, Microsoft, YouTube and Lyft, among others.
Oisin said today, “The innovative ideas that have emerged in the digital economy have transformed the way consumers obtain the products and services they need, while simultaneously creating new economic opportunities for workers everywhere. I am honored to join this talented group to help ensure that good ideas continue to grow into great companies that contribute meaningfully to our economy.”
